Tajbeg palace, Kabul, Afghanistan

Tajbeg palace is a palace built in the 1920s and is located about 10 miles outside of downtown Kabul, Afghanistan. The palace was not to be confused with the Darul Aman Palace, which is located in the northeast Tajbeg approximately 0.8 miles.
On December 27, 1979, the Soviet Union launched an invasion of Afghanistan. In the afternoon, the Soviet army launched Operation Storm-333, of which about 700 troops, including 54 KGB Spetsnaz, showering the palace and killed President Hafizullah Amin.
During the war, the palace is a landscape of troops to the Soviet Union-40.
Today, NATO used this palace as a machine gun observation post.
Tajbeg Palace is a palace that was built in 1920 and is located approximately ten miles (16 km) outside the center of Kabul, Afghanistan. Stately mansion located on a hill covered with snow in the foothills of Afghanistan where the royal family once hunted and picnicked. It should not be confused with the Darul Aman Palace, which is about 0.8 miles (1.3 km) northeast of Tajbeg.
